Consumer Awareness Day Celebration 【2019】


With the encouragement and support of Principal Sir and the teachers, we organised Consumer Awareness Day





on Monday, 24th Dec, 2018 in our school premises. Students of grade IX and X have actively participated in this Olympiad.  Consumer awareness is a need of present days. Since we are inspired to buy different product through advertisement but many of them are not qualitative product. So, In this awareness rally we have found the importance of consumer awareness, rights of consumers and how to get redressal? In this age of capitalism and globalization, the main objective of each producer is to maximize his profit. In each and every possible way the producer are trying to increase the sale of their products. Therefore, in fulfilment of their aim they forget the interests of consumers and start exploiting them for example – overcharging, under weighing, selling of adulterated and poor quality goods, misleading the consumers by giving false advertisement etc. Thus in order to save himself from being cheated, it is necessary for a consumer to be aware.  The main purpose of organising this awareness rally was to create awareness of a consumer towards his rights and duties.

With the encouragement and support of the Assistant Commissioner Mrs. Anuradha Ma’am, Principal Sir and the teachers, we initiated the process of further strengthening the spirit of internationalism in the school and organised an exhibition named NUMISMATICS on Tuesday, 11th Dec, 2018 by the brilliant students of class XI commerce. The School has been involved in this exhibition for the last 1 month with complete spirit and commitment and every day has been a day of learning, exhilaration and challenges. Hence even for the teachers also, the exhibition was a learning experience.  The School Principal, Mr. Suryavamshi appreciated this initiative of the class XI students and said that the students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya are ready to provide such kind of services in future too.
