Numismatics Exhibition

With the encouragement and support of the Assistant Commissioner Mrs. Anuradha Ma’am, Principal Sir and the teachers, we initiated the process of further strengthening the spirit of internationalism in the school and organised an exhibition named NUMISMATICS on Tuesday, 11th Dec, 2018 by the brilliant students of class XI commerce. The School has been involved in this exhibition for the last 1 month with complete spirit and commitment and every day has been a day of learning, exhilaration and challenges. Hence even for the teachers also, the exhibition was a learning experience.  The School Principal, Mr. Suryavamshi appreciated this initiative of the class XI students and said that the students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya are ready to provide such kind of services in future too. The theme of the activity was ‘Numismatics’. Students learnt advanced concepts such as making change, how money is designed and manufactured, understanding monetary systems and more. They also enjoyed learning about basic history, economics, world cultures, art-even language arts, as well as money conversion of more than 20 different countries, by participating in this activity. They then transcribed their research findings in the file and pasted currencies of various countries.  The Exhibition includes an activity named ‘Awareness of Financial Market of India’ was also conducted. The main purpose of conducting the activity was to enhance the knowledge and understanding of the students regarding the evolution of currency system in India United Kingdom, China and Italy.  Yet, we have worked with determination to make a difference to every child by opening new vistas of learning to make education a complete process.
